David Phillips and Judy Volmert are independent therapists providing counseling and therapy services in the town of Snohomish. David is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and Judy is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). The difference in their licenses reflects some differences in the emphasis of their individual Masters Degree programs. To be licensed in the State of Washington, all therapists must have completed a Masters Degree followed by hundreds of hours of supervised sessions with clients.
Whether you’re experiencing psychological distress associated with an event that took place in your past or you’re dealing with something more related to the present, a skilled therapist may be able to help you manage your emotional challenges more proficiently. At Snohomish Counselors, we’ll take the time to develop an individualized treatment plan that’s tailored to your unique needs. We’ll support you in any way we can throughout your journey. We want to help you feel good enough to participate more fully in the life that is yours.
David Phillips and Judy Volmert have spent decades helping clients face a variety of issues. Whether you’re dealing with difficult transitions, like divorce or the death of a loved one, or work related challenges, or mood difficulties like depression and anxiety, or the reactivity of post-traumatic stress, you do not have to work with this all by yourself.
The most important factor in choosing a counselor is that you feel comfortable with that person. You need to feel a sense of safety to talk about what is perhaps difficult to talk about. You need to feel supported as you work toward solving problems or resolving issues. You need to feel like you are really being listened to, in the beginning, in the middle and in the end.
Judy and David are solo practitioners who share limited common facilities at 1002 Tenth Street, Snohomish, WA 98290.
